If I come to the workshop do I have to share our problems with the group?
Some couples find wonderful relief in sharing parts of their journey with others in the workshop. Others do not speak of their relationship at all. No one is ever required or pressured in any way to share personal information with the group or the leaders.
What does the workshop offer that regular counseling does not?
The workshop is an educational weekend that provides concentrated time for the couple to connect with each other and to learn new tools and concepts for their relationship. I notice a deepening of tenderness and compassion as the couples relax into the weekend. Participants tell me that my IMAGO Workshop venue provides a warm, relaxed, nurturing, and welcoming workshop setting that provides a safe experience away from the normal interruptions of life.
What is the success rate with IMAGO?
Of the hundreds of people who have participated in my IMAGO weekend, virtually 100% have reported an improvement in both satisfaction and hope for their relationships. Often, there is a dramatic change for the positive during the Workshop.
How will we maintain our "new" relationship after the workshop?
Many ways are available. First, go to your couples counselor/coach with your Workshop Manuals, and obtain their strong support for your accountability and integrity. All couples really need this kind of support during their difficult integration into a new life together, using the incredible, cutting edge information and tools of the Workshop. If you are not currently working with someone, I am, of course, available to schedule appointments with you, or help you find someone to work with you who is a very good fit, in terms of both location and temperament. I am committed to helping all couples succeed. Occasionally I offer a couples therapy group.

It is my experience that people can make great progress in their relationship even when there is reluctance. Willingness to attend is the first essential ingredient.

It is often said that the workshop experience is the equivalent of six months therapy, as it provides the educational components of the work. Through my observations and participants' feedback, I am confident the weekend is a wise investment of your time and money.
Payment plans (post-dated checks) are most welcome by the Center for Marriage & Family Relationships. We are devoted to helping couples experience this powerful education sooner rather than later. All you have to do is let us know what you need in advance of Registration, and special arrangements will be made.
